NaPoWriMo 2020 Day 11
Remember when
as children, ideas were
as prolific
as dandelions?
That is the fire
of creativity
built in, and always
burning.
Voice of need
to heed its call,
to express the seed
of what lies within.
The urge to heal.
To build a better place
for all of us
to live in.

Notes: The image above was created when I put the bonfire photo from yesterday’s post, into the kaleidoscope app. It has always reminded me of the old gods of mythology, or the prophet who wanders through the desert, perhaps seeking that voice from within.
Inspired words, Elizabeth! I still have all kinds of ideas. My problem now is that by the time I can get somewhere to write them down, I’ve forgotten them. I blame the medical cannabis! In reality, it’s more likely because I’m, uh, advanced in age!
Marianne, I beg to differ. Writing is a formal means of speaking out loud. Revealing our inmost thoughts. And it may be the most difficult thing we ever do. And it goes against the grain of always being acceptable. You are doing a wonderful job of it. Just breathe deeply and pat yourself on the back. It has nothing to do with age. I’m proof of that, lol…

To build a better place. When so many of us want it, I wonder that it doesnt happen. I guess because the rich and corporations have all the power and prefer things as they are. Wonderful to read you, my friend.
Thank you Sherry (my knees are still knocking everyday I do this.) And I would agree about those in power. Perhaps that will change with our current situation. Everyone is getting down time to really think and consider realities. Can only hope it has good results.

interesting. no, I mean it. interesting. good good dandelion allusion, first poem step. (forgive but) my ear keeps wanting to change words around. meanwhile I notice myself listening for what meanings mean underside of the words. nice soup for a still cool Spring. thanks.
