Butterfly Dream

Reach
for it
they told me,
that dream you dream.

So, I did and found something worth keeping.

Now, they say I must let go, release it.

But, I find that
dream won’t let
go of
me.

Elizabeth Crawford  11/15/12

Notes: This is an old poem, revised a bit. The form is a Double Tetractys and is done in counted syllables.

What a fun form, Elizabeth! I must try that one this week. 😀

Hi Misky, it is an easy one. The Tetractys is a count of 1,2,3,4, and 10. But I like the double for some reason (probably because it’s more words to play with?), lol. Hope you do try it,

I agree with Misky. A new form…both form and verse are beautiful.

I agree Jules, the form sort of looks like a butterfly. Glad you like it,

It is a lovely form. And I so adore what it says – about reaching for the butterfly dream……am glad the dream is holding on to you. May it always.

There is so much to be learned from the butterfly Sherry. I plan to spend my life doing just that,
