Cloud Shadow
Like a cloud shadow defying gravity,
soul drifts slowly across inner landscape.
Sometimes bending to caress bowed head
or breathing bubbles of joy into bloodstream.
Never leaving shoe prints, only occasional
bread crumbs to capture attention, she threads
careful way into all human senses, sending
wind-whispered messages, while constantly
salting plans with grams of truth.

Love that seasoning at the end…

We all need a bit of that salt. The image itself is stunning, Elizabeth. A good find. Your first line is enticing, and the piece carries a soothing softness.

Beautifully stated, Elizabeth. I like the idea of the soul drifting across the inner landscape. That resonates with me. As does salting with grams of truth.
Speaking of truth, I would appreciate your perspective on the poem I shared today in Pantry! You will know the characters.

Cloud shadows are like little reminders that we are not in control of our lives but higher beings giving us a nudge now and then. Your words put it more beautifully.
