Prayer At Dawn
Each sunrise awakens
new awareness.
Thoughts once gone astray,
tilted at hampering angles,
no longer stagger in misdirection.
She finds the cooling breeze
that slowly heals bruised cracks
in her once wounded psyche.
Refreshed, she instinctively smiles
at this restoration of no longer weary spirit.

Notes: The image is a digital painting that came out of playing with colors, and was done a couple of years ago. The words in the list brought the image to mind and the poem fell into place with a minimum of help from me. I gave it the same title as the image.
prayer does restore the light…love that picture….

Gorgeous picture! The breeze is often a soothing reminder- all that begins well ends well. Each sunrise brings a new hope and a new beginning.. urging us gently to move on.. giving us strength. Beautifully penned 🙂

Prayers at dawn are perhaps the most honest… therefore maybe the most effortless…perhaps it is our unconscious mind in control…slightly drowsy to the awake mind which can stop those smiles and accomplishments and bring us down so readily and quickly..may there be many dawn prayers
