Are You Here?

I mean really here? Fully aware of what is spread out before you?
Are you present? Or distracted by other things, people, or something
that might have happened in the past? Even if the past
was only yesterday?

To be a seeker, one who joins in the quest to find that which
will better life for self and others, one must be present within
the moment, or miss the chance to dance with all those questions.
One could easily become another Percival, having to wait an additional twenty
years to find the answer he was seeking.

The answers lie all around and in us, like seeds waiting to be planted, so they might
take root and eventually become the gift of life to be offered to others. That
which awakens a soul and sets it on its course toward wholeness. That is the single
goal for any quest that might be entered. Your willing presence in every moment
as you search to find that seed that lies at the very center of your being.

Notes: Image is a pen and ink “doodle” I created many years ago. It makes me think of a woman with her back turned and all of the things that might be in her head at any given moment. Perhaps no more than passing distractions, or the keys that will open the door to her fuller understanding. And it might be important to note that the name, Percival means
“Perfect Fool”.

Wonderfully expressed. Presence in the moment, experiencing it fully, takes time to learn, distracted as we are by all the noise and chaos around us. I love this one, Elizabeth. My word, Absence, took me down a familiar road. I havent written about Pup for a while. But the ache is still there, always. I am enjoying this exchange of words.

And again I agree, this whole process goes so much better when done together instead of alone. And thanks again for your very “presence”.
