There are those who would say
that the things I do are “child’s play.”
Coloring these designs I make
from “doodles” I drew in another
time and place.
Giving them a different face
that speaks in the language of colors.
Saying things both soft and loud
without the need of a black-lined cloud
to prove that they have spoken.
Hopefully they bring a measure
of peace, at least a small bit
of contentment to those who see
and have learned to lean in
and to listen.
Because that is what they bring
to me, while making clearer sense
of all these words I have written.
And have become another
beautiful way to tell my very own
Creation Story.

Notes: The image above is one of those pen and ink “doodles” I created years ago. I didn’t put it through the kaleidoscope app because I didn’t like it a whole lot and thought it was too simple to use. Recently, I figured out how to use the kaleidoscope app on my current paint program and decided to give it a chance. It’s a matter of erasing some aspects of the image to bring the design clear and ready for printing. This was only one of several results.

Oh, how interesting to see the changes in the design. Cool. I love your creation story, full of animal and spirit guides. Tell us more as April goes on.
