In Search of Harmony

When I was a child, I could sing
any song I heard a few times.
That in turn had me seeking
harmony.

Much later, as an adult I began
writing words on paper, still
seeking the same by another
name called poetry.

Then came the doodles, and yes,
there are oodles of them. Each
one marking in black lines, yet
another path in my story.

But then I found the magic
of a kaleidoscope app, that could
make those doodles into designs
that could be colored.

And I find that learning the language
of colors, how they speak and often
support one another, sometimes clashing
as people do, is much like singing.

Finding the note then sustaining it,
until the next one comes along,
in the hopes that the song
will long be remembered.
