Word Freedom

Card 83, Gallery 2

For The Sunday Whirl #456

Word Freedom

Shy words dance like droplets of rain
searching to meet rich dark soil, in distance.

Knowing only that they will die in mouth
of the ignorant. Killed by a loser’s breath.

Seeking instead that one who knows freedom, has breathed
in the reality of liberty and it’s responsibility.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here. Saw the early words on Facebook,
and they promptly started whispering in my ear. Love it when that happens.

I love this one, Elizabeth. Thank heavens we experienced enough freedom and democracy to know what it isnt during these confounding times. I have been writing heavily, offline, all morning, so I was happy when a humorous poem popped up for this card. I needed the relief. LOL.
