Card 112, Gallery 2
She’s a rather shy individual,
backing off when things
get angry or ugly.
That’s a leftover from her past,
when she was told
she had nothing of value to offer.
Given a chance she becomes
something even she
might not understand.
A bold and shining knight,
bright sharp sword of words
at the ready.
Honed by years of practice,
she carries this cauldron
of nurture within her.
Constantly seeking to find
that one in need of what
she alone might offer.

Oh wow, I wrote and posted mine before reading and am, again, amazed at how in synch we are. Yet that should not surprise me, we always were! I love this, especially the cauldron of nurture, and the looking for someone who needs it.

Great poem! I love how you have set down a believable character in just a few stanzas. There’s a story there, and it makes me care for her.
