Me?

Me?

Have been missing in action,
losing time, perhaps potential,
maybe even future victory.

Evidence may be found in bare
white pages, lacking all words
rolling off tongue, pen, or keyboard.

Guess I decided to become another
entity, fill my world with color
rather than written definitions.

Saturate air with another language,
ease my world away from hate-filled
rhetoric and name-calling derision.

Point it toward a different harmony,
and in that process create a different
type of poetry. One that speaks

neither to head nor heart,
but directly
to the soul.

Those bare pages feel very familiar, Elizabeth… filling with colour is an excellent idea!

Love this ‘another entity’ speaking to the soul. And what a lovely art work! Let Tongue, pen, keyboard take rest for a while. Beautiful.

  4. I have missed your words though you have found a way to create elsewhere – to “Saturate air with another language” – so well said

With sll the discord and despair on the airwaves, it is sometimes wise to retreat and create one’s own harmony. But we missed you, and i am so happy to read you today, my friend.

Dear Elizabeth I was so happy to find you linked here. Enjoyed your words, they have been missing for tooooooooooooooooooooooooo long!! Yes, somethings can only be said, through the language of the visual arts, but I for one, also miss your words. The world is lonely without your words.

I understand being ‘missing in action’ in the world of words. Sometimes the words which one would write might be better left unsaid….or perhaps all that is going on leaves one speechless.

Lucky us that still have souls as looking around so many people in power or influence have none.

Just lovely! The last line – “One that speaks
    neither to head nor heart,
    but directly
    to the soul”
We as poets always wish to create such magic – a piece that speaks to our soul!
