Words and Color

Words and Color

Inspire me. Open
my eyes to another day
and new possibilities.

Fuel imagination,
make it feel like sleekest,
high-performance engine.

Feed insatiable hunger
for new, different, fuller

Drive me to faraway
places, some unknown
and never seen before.

Comfort me, wrap
me in softest flannel of knowing,
while soothing old wounds.

Let me dance
across white pages
like Isadora Duncan.

Allow me to grow
even into old age
maybe dotage.

Two very different languages
aid me in finding voice of soul
then encourage me to sing it.

Your love of words and color is evident in everything you write. And this poem is a lovely tribute! I’ve always appreciated the power of words and color in my world, too! As always, well done, my friend!
