What’s To Regret?
regret = feeling of sorrow or remorse for a fault, act, loss, disappointment
For those first thirty some
years, was a hard-wired,
coiled spring, trying to bend
myself around what others
were more than willing
to tell me was “right”.
Most often struggling
with why I couldn’t
do that with any ease.
Was I a deviant? Bent
in some perverse fashion,
to be forever wading
through darkness, rather
than swimming in light?
Started making notes.
Found certain golden truths
in sound of my own voice,
and then, chose to listen.
What’s to regret?

I loved your take on Regret. Nothing really. We both know we never meant to “f……..up.” Still it happened, destruction in your path. Never “right.” Always just “you.” Beloved you, wonderful you.
