“You are very good
with metaphors,
but I want to know
what the butterfly sucked
up, in all that fluttering around,
and did the fiercely focused hawk
find the prize
that would satisfy
her hunger?”

So if the butterfly is a symbol of change…the process of change fuelled by sweetness may be positive. In which case the hawk that brings balance between mind and heart should have wrought that act… the positive counterbalancing the negative imbalance! Am joining the dots rather badly I think!!
Not at all, Rajani. The heart represents our emotional response (our wants), the mind our needs. (The mind might be best represented as a dragon, that of self-preservation). The hawk travels between those two seeking the balance which will satisfy the soul, our connection to the spiritual. Without all three, we are less than whole. Nothing wrong with your connections, at all.

I am still reading and re reading but I like where Rajani is going with this..
So do I. We still have the rest of the month to get through, and hopefully whatever is coming will answer, at least, some of the questions,
