Stray Thought 4

So many things,
but way back there
at the beginning?

Curiosity.
Like that which killed
the cat, but kept calling
her back,
again and again,
or the sound of soft laughter
in my father’s voice,
a truck driver,
saying, “I’ve never been
down this road, I wonder
where it goes.”

I found this very interesting and a joy to read. Reading it a few times, I could interpret different stories. What a great poem that could be used to inspire a story or two or three…
