A Trinity of Being

For Creativity Challenge Day 18: Three

A Trinity of Being

When seeking direction,
I look within.

First, to my mind,
which tells me what to do,
or not do, but always
what I truly need.

Second, to my heart,
which reminds me of that
which I love, or do not,
but also of what I really want.

At last, and with hope,
I seek my soul, that quiet
sentinel and arbiter constantly
moving between those first two.
Always searching for the balance
that must be found, somewhere
between them.
