Comfortably Un-Numbed

Setting aside bricks
of depression,
forces herself
into slow movement.

Would have to admit
she had somewhat enjoyed
her centered down

where she began to hear
her own inner workings,
see with own eyes
questions that should
have been asked
long ago.

Understood now,
smudged and blurred
edges of knowing,
and bloody mess
one might easily make
from existence.

  1. I know what you mean about enjoying one’s own silence, a place I retreat to increasingly……love, also, the blurred edges that make all the past uproar easier to take. Interestingly, in the blurring of the image above, I saw a ball of hearts – perhaps there is the wisdom nugget that accompanies the welcome blurring of time and memories.

  2. I too seek out the silence–there was a comforting sense in knowing–even when the stuff you finally see is bad–
