Sorcerer 3
Walked for years
back and forth
across the earth.
Learned bits and pieces
of new ways to speak.
Finally found home,
where he chose to live
mostly alone and began
to hone teeth on sorcery
of language. Dug deep
into soil of words hoping
to crack secrets
in multi-layered meanings.
Sat to write daily
leaving behind a legacy
of incomparable poetry.
Which many in future
considered to be a golden
oracle, meant for all to hear,
both unique and truly magical.

I see him, and am glad he left his words for others…..as we all do, hoping someone will read them after we are gone.
Sherry, my friend, with your encouragement I have begun putting a manuscript together. Thought of you while writing this.

I like your sorcerer. The fact he is leaving words behind for others to read. I am enjoying your mini series, Elizabeth.

So am I Pamela. Who knows maybe there will be a myth some day about an old woman called Elizabeth Word Seed, lol…or Pamela Poem Seed?

I can see both Elizabeth and Pamela leaving legacies of words swirling in future brains. The first stanza’s bits and pieces resonate with me. I see students every day who learn in bits and pieces. Later, they do what you do. Put them together and wow me. Thanks.
Thank you Brenda, I agree with the bits and pieces. Learned I am far more a generalist than any other more specific definition. Thanks for dropping in…are you still enjoying yourself?
