Oh, I empathize with you here, Elizabeth. Though, I have stayed busy today with work (3 hours), and yes, playing ball with the dogs. I feel an emptiness after our month together, more than the 3 years before. I like this pic and words, did you do it in the paint program you told me about before?

    Pamela

This is an old piece I started on the paint program and never finished. So decided to do so this morning to rid me of that loose ends feeling. It actually helped, thus the title. And you are so right, have done the NaPo before and the PAD challenge in November, but have not before encountered this sense of loss now that it is over. Personally, I think it was the sense of community that Barbara fostered and we all took part in and enjoyed that I am now feeling the loss of and can only hope to see reoccur at some time in the future. Thanks so much for understanding,

Hey Elizabeth, remember the storyline I talked about? Well, since Neil handed over the prompt reins, I’m gonna make that into a series of WWP prompts. I hope you’ll be inspired. Emptiness is a great start.
Aside to Pamela, hope you join along too.

Oh Irene, what have you done? The minute I read your prompt, the story of Anastasia began to whisper in my ear. Last thing I thought to hear, but will follow the words and see where they lead me. Thanks so much for the invite and I’ve let Pamela know she is also included. Thanks for being you,

I love the presentation here, Elizabeth. I remember feeling the same way after we completed our one month soul card journey. That was a fantastic month!

Yes, it was and am thinking Irene’s invitation might be another one. I heard words rustling around as soon as I took a look at her first prompt. We shall see, my friend. Hope you consider joining us,

  4. Wonderful poem, Elizabeth. So glad I came across your blog.

I feel the same way about your blog, Lisa. The poetry circuit is a rather large entity, yet as friendly as a small neighborhood community. Thanks for stopping by,

It is a bit of a let down, but at least now you can color your world with other beautiful projects, or just enjoy a little spring. Yeah right, huh? We are poetry addicts aren’t we?

We most certainly are that, Laurie. Just can’t quite get enough of it. Maybe because once that box is opened, it really doesn’t want to be closed ever again. We are so lucky to have this community which brings us together with others of like mind and spirit. One of the reasons I was feeling the way I was. Thanks for reading and commenting,

I do remember at times being down-hearted after the intense month of writing was over. This year, since I didn’t really participate fully I didn’t feel that down-heartedness. It WAS nice to see you writing so much this month, Elizabeth.

And it felt right and good the entire time, Mary. I don’t think I’ve ever felt the downheartedness so strongly though. Might be because it was so intense, yet so warm and accepting. Just needed to express it and didn’t realize that until I started playing with the colors. Thanks for all that you do, my friend,

I wrote similarly a while back. Your digital image is gorgeous; and your voice, though apparently stifled, is clear, direct, concise, honest. Nice work.

Thank you Kim. Not sure the voice was stifled so much, just really wanted to make the statement and nothing else. Sometimes less is so much better somehow,

Loved the picture and i am not sure if you really are feeling a bit lost, you have such a talent, Loved it,

I really was feeling a bit lost, Alan. It was such an intense month and then nothing, at least a feeling of nothing. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and felt a bit sad that it had to end. And thank you for your very generous words,

I understand. Yet how blessed to have many ways of making beauty.

Blessed is a good word Rosemary. Sometimes want to hug myself because of it. Thanks for stopping and taking a look,

Thanks for the hug and sending one right backatcha Geraldine. I love playing with colors and love the digital painting. No mess to clean up, just click to a different page. After posting everyday for 30 in a row, I had to put up something, just to get rid of the feelings. So glad I did, and thanks so much for your continued support,

This is how I feel when I have writer’s block – I like your interpretation of what that feeling might look like – the red brings me to a mass of red brain cells, pulsing and throbbing around bone and flesh and beating to flow but not quite there…yet.

That’s quite an interpretation Bonnie. Red is the color of passion and creative fire, and is one of the most difficult hues to work with (at least for me), it is so easy to upset its balance. And yet it speaks volumes, doesn’t it? Thanks for the generous words,

How perfectly you have described the let-down after a super creative burst! Your image suggests to me the antidote is to just rest in the silence! Meeting Rumi’s Beloved

Really like your definition of a “super creative burst.” It was that and more, but it was the immediate silence afterward that propelled me to seek a way to fill it. Not fill it full, but just enough to acknowledge the feeling. I think it is good to honor those blank spaces seldom put into words. Thanks for visiting and commenting,

There is always next year, Robyn. It truly is a one of a kind experience, even if it isn’t the first time. Which is part of what I found so remarkable this year. Hope you see your way to joining in next time and thanks so much for your comments,

    Hold onto that passion!

I intend to, my friend. You might want to take a peek at Irene’s prompt at WWP. Sounds like it could be an interesting journey. Thanks so much for sharing the past month and being a part of this entire experience,
