On This Day of Desperation

Dearest Poem Fairy,

Hate to be a bother, here in middle
of most hectic month for you
and all of your followers,
but I’m in a jam, can’t seem to cram
even one coherent thought onto paper.

Know it’s a hell of a favor I’m asking
but, promise if you come through,
will be forever beholden to you
and your golden wordling wand.

Just one small verse, might be a bit terse,
no need for any fancy-footed  rhyme.
But, if you have time between Thailand
and France, or dancing over Montana
mountains, before flying down to Mexico,
would really appreciate whatever is left
that you could offer.

As usual, will leave the light on the desk
and a full plate of those cookies you seem
to find so delightful.

Thanks,

Elizabeth

Chuckle… I hadn’t thought of desperate pleas. I was considering haiku and cutups.
