For November PAD Challenge: Image # 22

An Act of Gratitude
Want to give thanks
to the Universe
for awakening
once closed heartstone,
and for opening the portal
where hope floats
in hidden lavender promise
amidst shades of green.
For staring into the future
at approaching storm
that swept away
butterfly illusion to reveal
steel and lace etching
in liquid gold.
And for crossing the river
to let me see, up close
and personal, how a blossom
in moonlight could become
burnt offerings
nestled in early morning
mountain mist,
carved in stone
somewhere…

Notes: Today is Thanksgiving. I wish each and every one of you a Happy Holiday. This piece is my own act of gratitude for the opportunity to share my digital creations by using them as prompts. The words in italics are the titles of the prompts used since November 1st. Thank you for playing along with me.
Thank you for providing inspiration an friendship.
While I’m not the chief cook and bottle washer today – I do have a dish to bring and other chores to attend. So I might not be back on the ‘net’ until later this eve or tomorrow.
To all who help in any way, small acts of kindness do matter!

We too will be attending a gathering elsewhere, but bringing a fresh raspberry pie (specialty of the house). I believe those small acts of kindness are the best kind. Thanks Jules for getting all of this started with your suggestion,
Elizabeth

I’m not sure what happened but my comment that I just posted disappeared. Hm! Here’s my link. Happy Thanksgiving, Elizabeth. http://miskmask.wordpress.com/2012/11/22/what-is-paradise/
And the same to you Misky. I’m not sure what happened either, but hope your day shines,

Oh, goodness me. I know what happened. Elizabeth, sorry for posting the above. Delete it if you wish. I also wanted to say that it’s been entirely my pleasure to write to your beautiful artwork, and thank you.
My mother and older sister are the visual artists in the family, I just like playing with lines and colors. Thank you, Misky, for taking part in this experiment,
Elizabeth

Happy Thanksgiving, Elizabeth – and how beautiful a poem you constructed using titles of your poems of the month. Awesome idea and it worked out flawlessly. Just beautiful, kiddo.
