Blossom In Moonlight

For November PAD Challenge: Image #6

Blossom In Moonlight
Pen & Ink Drawing w/ Digital Background
Elizabeth Crawford

She only unfolds
fragile petals
in soft sensuous
where smoky shadows
lean in to embrace
her tender beauty.

Owns her uniqueness
as she waits
for that one
who will give
a lifetime,
to share those few
brief moments.

    Romance is alive! 🙂

I got a late start – went to the polls first.

PS It seems your like button isn’t working. At least it didn’t for me.

Thanks Jules, this image has always suggested a bit of the romantic to me. Not sure what’s going on with the like button,

Beautiful poem, so evocative. And, Elizabeth, your pen and ink drawing is magnificent. I love how you mix medias, you are so talented!

Sherry, am grateful for your enthusiasm today. Not sure if it’s talent or simply a lot of time on my hands. If you do them enough times, some are bound to turn out, right?

  3. “smoky shadows lean in to embrace her tender beauty.” I love the feel of this.

As I loved the space you created for this image. Thank you jlynn,

  4. Misky says:

This is a gorgeous poem, as is the drawing. Well done on both, Elizabeth.

Thanks much Misky, I’m just glad I can find something to write each day.
