Hope Floats

Even in darkest corners,
like a bright flowered
held with long white
tied round delicate wrist
of young girl,
with raggedly cut
Dressed in ripped
and dirty sneakers,
as she crosses
wide rushing stream
by jumping
from one small stone
to another.

I like the playfulness of this verse. Very elemental, balloon, air, water, rock, supporting and free at the same time.

Thanks Jules, I think elemental is a good word when speaking of hope. It is always there, we but need to reach for it,
