Soul Seasons
Finds certain satisfaction
in owned rhythms, moving
through seasons, finding
singular pace in grace
of each one:
Winter’s withdrawal within.
Spring’s rush to begin.
Summer’s full active leisure.
Autumn’s blush of fading fire.
Circling cycles, pattern
of days and ways of being.
Always leaning in to learn
more. Believing what is seen,
or not, sometimes only felt
in bones, mind, and heart.
Whirling years disappear
behind her, still held in
fiber of cells, telling her
when and where to turn
on vibrant ever-churning
path she finds before her.
Images held for a moment,
then released to settle in bright
metal of soul. Its voice calling
from past to future and back
again. Anchored at center,
lending hand of support, while
leading her forever forward.

Progression of instinct to acknowledgement to understanding – she’s now able to pass on her knowledge; teach.
Stan, really digging your summaries. Thank you, and she did teach, a late in life career she never imagined. She did it only for one reason, it allowed her to learn a lot more.

David, I have used it often and affectively. Depressive thoughts have a tendency to pin one in place, making it difficult to actually physically move. And by the simplest of movements, one can change, actually unlock that grip on one’s person and attention. Thank you so much for the well wishes,

I think we do hold those cells of past seasons in us. We just keep moving forward but bring bits and pieces of the past with us.
