Change

is a ripple
that alters life’s
direction.
Can amend mistakes
made in unaware
moments,
modify a chosen course,
sometimes mutating it
altogether.
Might even transform
good, or bad intentions,
to vary any
outcome.

You are more than welcome, Viv. I love to play with words, just follow them and find out what lies beyond the curve. I learned that from my Father who was a truck driver and loved nothing more than taking a Sunday drive with no particular destination.

Nice description of change, Elizabeth. I like the first line… so true. Your comments to Viv about following words is true for me, too. Following words.

Thank you Pamela, I was just playing with a list of synonyms for the word.

Brenda, I much prefer that to making an outline and then trying to fill it out. That seems so counter-productive to me, somehow, almost an avoidance of the writing itself.

Thank you Anthony, don’t know how great they are, was just playing with some of the synonyms for the word itself. Now, having read all the responses to the Writer’s Island prompt, my head is chuck full of change and rattling around like a loose pocket.

Very well said, and well written I think! 🙂 It is most certainly true… sometimes the changes made are for the better, other times, they lead to places never before considered! You captured the essence of any given moment well, in which only hind-sight is 20/20. Blessed be!

Interesting interplay of God and human, and of human roles – prophet, poet, hermit – intriguing exploration.

    Victoria,

not sure why your comment is here, instead of with “The Call” piece, but thank you for reading and commenting. I really like myths and mythic type stories. Have always wanted to write one, so when it started flirting in the back of my mind, I went with it. And it was intriguing watching it unfold.
