Bear by Susan Seddon Boulet

Bear sleeps through winter
dreaming of questions
only summer may answer.
All those answers
she feeds on in full
fresh berries in brambles;
moist slugs under
sweet honey hanging in combs
will nurture the questions
of next winter’s night.
*The bear is a symbol for Introspection
Loves words and language. Dances on paper to her own inner music. Loves to share and keeps several blogs to facilitate that. They can be found here: https://1sojournal.wordpress.com/

Love this! It was like a dance rendered in words.
I love way she lives for the summer preparing for winter… such a great existence (and my name means bear so it’s perfect)
How i love that she is dreaming of questions only summer may answer. Wonderful!
This is absolutely lovely! ❤️ I love the idea of “questions only summer may answer.” 🙂
I love the way this poem goes full circle with its questions!
i wonder what bears dream about all winter…bkm
Can you imagine how hungry they are when they awake? Best not to say Hi! at that time.
questions only summer may answer… I like that!
Really enjoyed this; especially dreaming of questions only summer may answer.
I love your bear dreams!!
Beautiful image and beautiful poem.
