Bear Seasons
Bear sleeps through winter
dreaming of questions
only summer may answer.
All those answers
she feeds on in full
summer light:
fresh berries in brambles;
moist slugs under
overturned stones;
sweet honey hanging in combs
will nurture the questions
of next winter’s night.

*The bear is a symbol for Introspection
Love this! It was like a dance rendered in words.

I love way she lives for the summer preparing for winter… such a great existence (and my name means bear so it’s perfect)

Can you imagine how hungry they are when they awake? Best not to say Hi! at that time.
